Executive Summary

Across Pakistan, thousands of vulnerable Christian families live trapped in generational debt bondage working at brick kilns. Forced to perform grueling labor under harsh conditions, these families remain bound by debts that are systematically manipulated, passing down from generation to generation.

Since 2023, Lovers of God Ministries Pakistan has successfully negotiated the release of and rehabilitated 24 families, restoring their fundamental human rights, dignity, and faith.

Building on this proven track record, the ministry is launching the 2027 Freedom & Restoration Program to liberate 50 additional families from brick kilns. This project extends far beyond paying off debts; it provides a comprehensive 5-pillar pathway to long-term independence, encompassing safe housing, small business generation, women’s vocational training, and children’s education.

Key Program Pillars & Implementation

The program operates on a holistic rehabilitation framework to ensure freed families never fall back into financial exploitation or poverty traps.

1. Debt Redemption & Legal Release

• Verification & Identification: Identify Christian families in severe bondage across regional brick kilns.

• Negotiation & Payoff: Settle documented debts directly with kiln owners. Approximately 90% of family debts range between $800 and $1,500 (with rare exceptions incurring higher amounts).

• Legal Documentation: Obtain formal release documents and debt-clearance affidavits to guarantee legal freedom.

2. Immediate Shelter & Housing Stabilization

• Rental Support: Secure safe, sanitary rental housing in supportive urban/suburban communities.

• Basic Household Kit: Provide essential kitchen utensils, bedding, clean water storage, and initial food rations for the transition month.

3. Economic Self-Sufficiency (Small Business Grants)

• Micro-Enterprise Setup: Grant seed capital ($350–$500 per family) tailored to the head of household’s experience.

• Business Opportunities: Setup of micro-enterprises such as small grocery shops (karyana), mobile vegetable/fruit carts, auto-rickshaw rentals/purchases, or livestock trade.

4. Women’s Empowerment & Skill Development

• Sewing Skill Center: Enroll adult women in the ministry’s operational Sewing Skill Center.

• Income Generation: Teach cutting, tailoring, and embroidery over a 3 to 6-month curriculum, equipping graduates with standard sewing machines upon completion to generate sustainable home-based income.

5. Child Rehabilitation & Schooling

• Educational Integration: Break the generational cycle of illiteracy by enrolling children into local Christian or partner formal schools.

• School Supplies: Provide complete educational kits (books, uniforms, shoes, bags, and tuition support).

  Verify debt amounts with kiln owners, execute legal paperwork, and finalize liberation plans for the first cohort of families.

  Move families into rental homes, distribute essential household supplies, and stabilize health and living environments.

• Phase 3: Business Launch & Center Enrollment (Months 7–9)

  Distribute micro-business capital, start home businesses, and enroll women into the Sewing Skill Center.

• Phase 4: Educational Placement & Monitoring (Months 10–12)

  Enroll children into schools, monitor micro-business sustainability, and transition families into self-reliant living.
